BAY HORSE GOLF SOCIETY – COUNT BACK RULES
1) COUNT BACK IS ALWAYS ON THE BACK 9 HOLES
2) IF A TIE ON BACK 9 THEN THE HIGHEST SCORE ON BACK 6 HOLES
3) IF STILL A TIE THEN HIGHEST SCORE ON BACK 3 HOLES
4) BACK 1 HOLE (18TH)
5) IF STILL A TIE HIGHEST ON LAST 6 HOLES OF THE FRONT 9
6) IF STILL A TIE HIGHEST ON LAST 3 HOLES OF THE FRONT 9
7) IF STILL A TIE HIGHEST 9th HOLE
8) IF still a tie then it will be awarded to the lowest handicap
Quote from the R&A website:
If the tying players have the same score for the last round or if the competition consisted of a single round, determine the winner based on the score for the last nine holes, last six holes, last three holes and finally the 18th hole. If there is still a tie, then the last six holes, three holes and final hole of the first nine holes will be considered in turn.
