Council Refuse and Recycling Collections over Easter Holidays

Council Refuse and Recycling Collections over Easter Holidays

With Easter almost here, Basildon Council is working to make sure that disruptions to your refuse and recycling collections are kept to a minimum.

Collections will be delayed by one day following all Bank Holidays.

There are also more items than ever which can be recycled over Easter. Councillor John Dornan, cabinet member for the Environment, said:

‘Most Easter egg packaging is recyclable in your weekly pink sack collection – plastic, cardboard and even aluminium foil.

‘By making the most of your pink sack collection, you can help the Borough boost the recycling rate in 2013.’
