Francis was born on 4 October 1771, the second child of Francis (1722-1807) and his wife Sarah nee Spratley.
In 1791 he married Sarah Dent in Stapenhill, Burton-on-Trent, and they had these children :-

Francis died 4 December 1846
Sarah was born in 1766, the second of the six children of Robert Dent, b. 1734) and Sarah nee Kinsey (b. 1740) who were married on 25 June 1765 in Breedon On The Hill, Leicester.
