My Messor barbarus
Messor barbarus are just one species of Harvester Ants that I keep. I have 2 colonies of these, and my biggest colony has started bringing out brood to the soil surface as these photos taken by my wife show. They are an easy ant to keep once the queen has established a good sized colony.
