you can usually employ a police officer at a fixed rate.
[they usually come in pairs]
For a fixed rate simply through the bench.
One will normally remain with you.
The other will invariably come and go to attend to any reports or paperwork that needs attending to,
The paid rate
[as is apply'd to a singular officer then doubled for the pair]
Is set fixed for a full day of each officer's time a full working day,
You can do more than one thing if there is sufficient time remaining
Or the officer's will generally continue with any overdue paperwork
[ relevant or not to your case]
And will unfortunatly not be given "the rest of the day off",
so it should'nt shock you if they are'nt in a hurry to go anywhere
[but do'nt worry it does'nt mean anything].
