This year our purple tree is having a break.  It is an heirloom and the cats would just wreck it in no time.  It will be back though.

I decided that as there were some trees I was going to take down in the summer anyway we might as well use one of those as a Christmas tree.  Given that we are surrounded here by forest we have no shortage of trees to choose from!
