More About Me
I grew up in Glasgow, Scotland where I attended Milngavie Primary School follwed by Douglas Academy, Milngavie.
After leaving school, I attended Glasgow University (see Qualifications). During one of my summer holidays from University, I met my husband when we were both working as lifeguards at Butlins in Ayr (all the best places!) and we have now been together for twenty-five years and married for twenty.

(Renewing our wedding vows on 10th Anniversary in Las Vegas -2005)
In 1994 we moved to the Highlands of Scotland, living in Cromarty, Dingwall, Jemimaville and Cullicudden.
We have three children, a daughter born in 1998 and two sons born in 2001 and 2005. During these years I worked as a lawyer in private practice and spent many years working in health law and policy development, as well as doing some other things, including post-graduate study and qualification in psychology and qualifying and working as a music therapist in a variety of settings such as in acute psychiatry, schools and with private clients. I qualified as a music therapist in both the UK and Canada.
In January 2010 I moved to Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia (Canada). Since living in Canada I have continued to develop my work in national level mental health policy development and research. I was also admitted as a Barrister in Nova Scotia in 2012, worked as a lawyer in private practice and currently work as a Crown Attorney in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
