On Tuesday I chaperoned Brendan's class on the elementary school trip to the ballet, Alice in Winterland, at Alderney Landing in Dartmouth.
The above photo is my group: Brendan, Cydney, Lola, Mathieu and Ben.
The one below is a photo of the Grade 1s waitings to go into the theatre - not an easy photo as they were all so excited. Brendan is in the top row, second from right.

Here is Nathan with his friends Matthew and Mary-Cate:

The ballet was great and the costumes amazing. Both Nathan and Brendan really enjoyed it, although some children found it too long and not their thing.
The traditional scene of the croquet game was replaced with a dance in which the dancers donned hockey shirts and sticks and played hockey with a beaver for a puck - so Canadian!
After the show we got to meet some of the cast. Brendan was fascinated by the dancers 'special shoes'.
