Today Nathan finished his science camp at Dalhousie. He made some great things such as a catapult, another device to illustrate conversion of potential energy to kinetic energy and as part of learning about mining engineering he made a rescue system for miners trapped underground.
Brendan finished his bouldering camp. After the first day he announced he had a fear of heights but on the second day he rappelled from the roof of the squash court and loved it - after that he had a fantastic time. He passed his Boulder 1 badge! (Although he can't do level 2 until he is 8 yrs) He now knows lots of things like what a sloper and a jug (not a kitchen utensil) are, how to crimp (nothing to do with hair), how to execute a flag (nothing to do with a piece of fabric waving) - I'm learning lots too....

Brendan getting ready to zip line back down (I was amazed - he clipped himself on to the zipline while he was at the top of the wall)

Next week Caraid has a computers for girls camp, Brendan has another swim camp and Nathan has bouldering (level 2) camp - all at Dalhousie but unfortunately not all on the one campus!
