Last night we had an amazing storm - it lasted for a couple of hours right overhead.  The thunder shook even our windows (which are apparently top quality)!  The boys of course didn't like it but Caraid was fine and Euan and I both love storms.  The meteorologists said there were 600 land strikes in our area - amazing.

Of course, we were all tired today though and it was Caraid's first exam.  It was math though, which is now her favourite subject and it seemed to go very well.

Today while Nathan was at an after school club Caraid, Brendan and I went to sit in the public gardens and eat ice cream:

Brendan thought about diving into the fountain - I had to tell him to stop because I didn't want the little girl watching him getting the idea to copy him:

The group have been making paper cranes and selling them at school.  The money they raise is going to help the relief effort in Japan. They hope to make one thousand - they are at 550 so far.  The cranes are all being sent to the Japanese embassy.  Karen, the girl third from left is Japanese.
