No - it's not what you think.

Given that Sacred Heart is a school with such a long history, it comes with lots of traditions that are baffling to those not in the know and today was one of those.

'Last will' is where the Grade 11 girls hold a 'sending off'' ceremony for the Grade 12 leavers.  As part of this, the Grade 12s give awards to those who have made a difference to them personally and to the school life generally.  Only two Gd 7s received awards - Caraid received 2 and another girl received 1.  Caraid was thrilled and rightly so.

As part of her gifts, she received a wand - very Caraid like!  One of the girls also removed the ribbons from a gift bag and replaced it with bright green laces for her Panda boots (Docs) - they know her well.

We are very proud to have a daughter who is known throughout the school (despite being the smallest!) and who contributes so much to the life of the school through all her various activities - these things will stand her in great stead.
