Dinner last night was very posh but there was absolutely nothing on the menu I could eat - lots of fois gras, oysters, etc.  but the chef very kindly made me some pasta with sundried tomato so that was OK.  The vodka and diet cokes were fine though.

After work today I went for a tour of the Parliament buildings - I thought I should really have a better understanding of how things work in Canada.

 It was not nearly as impressive as the UK Houses of Parliament but then Ottawa isn't London either - it'll be interesting to hear what Caraid makes of it when she visits in June.
