We awoke to a blanket of white, finally catching some of the snow that we have been watching the UK enjoying. It started snowing last night at about 11pm and this morning we had about 10 cm of snow on the ground.
So ... the first challenge, getting the cars up the drive. When we first arrived this year both cars had managed fine and we had an arrangement with a local company to have the drive ploughed, however, he hadn't arrived today (perhaps because a lot of businesses are on holiday today). So, we tried to get the Sedona up the drive first ... and it got stuck! I guess a year's worth of driving will take some of the edge off of the tread on the tyres!
Thankfully, the Explorer made it up fine.
After a bit of shopping (including buying some new sleds) the kids had a great time out on the slope. Meanwhile we put to use one of our new purchases ... a tow rope! After a lot of digging and pulling we managed to get the Sedona free and both cars are now at the top of the drive ... now ... off to investigate new tires (or a second four wheel drive car!!).
Here's a wee snippet of video of Caraid & Brendan trying to extend the slope hours as much as possible!
