The start of advent and all the festivities that brings.
Last night we were at St. Mary's Basilica for the high school service of readings and carols. It was really good - the senior girls choir that Caraid is part of were amazing. More amazing for the fact Caraid had only made about three rehearsals because she had been involved in Shakespeare - I don't know how she manages to memorise all the words so easily. Her voice is still very strong and you can hear her even when she sings with 24 others. Still, she's back to singing tonight with another choir rehearsal until 6pm - the choir like to sing at as many local events as possible so it's a busy time of year.

After the service there was warm apple cider - it made it all feel very Christmassy.
