Yesterday after Brendan finished school we went to Chester beach which was great - wouldn't have been doing that in Scotland! 

Today is Caraid's first day at high school.  The temperatures are still in the mid 30Cs so they don't have to wear their proper uniform which I think Caraid was actually a bit disappointed about.  Here are some photos, although they were taken in a bit of a rush because as we were ready to go I noticed Caraid has spilled make up all down the front of her dry-clean only kilt....why should I not be surprised!

Today is also Nathan's first day in Grade 4 - it was so lovely this morning to see him back with his class, they are a great group of children.

I'll put more photos on here next week when they are wearing their proper uniform as per Caraid's request.  We are predicted to be hit by Hurricane Earl on Saturday so that might make for some interesting photos - yesterday the boats were being taken out of the water at Chester and later on we will be moving all our garden furniture, grill, etc indoors.
