Today was Nathan's 9th birthday.   He got a train set from us and more Playmobil from Grandma, Granny, Grandpa and Brendan.  Caraid gave him some books.

Today was also the elementary school sports day which they held at Dalhousie University's sports field.  We didn't think they held one because they have already had the intermurals which all the sporty kids take part in, but this one was for fun and the children all did seem to have a great time.  The weather was good - warm but not too sunny.

I was there as a chaperone for the Grade 3 class so most of the photos are of Nathan but there's a few of Caraid, who even said she enjoyed sports day this year!  Yesterday, I chaperoned the Grade 6s when they went swimming - now that was fun too!  There's a majority of girls in Gd6 and it was entertaining seeing them all get ready to go in the water, then getting them ready afterwards to go back to school.
