Arrived back from Ottawa late last night.  As someone did ask me - how did I manage to get on a national Government advisory committee within 3 months of arriving in this country?!

The work was OK and it was good to see Ottawa but it's still not London (missing that lots and can't wait for my next visit there!).  Ottawa has some beautiful buildings but to me seemed a very quiet place with lots of grey suits - it lacks any vibrancy, or so it seemed on a first visit.

Anyway here are a couple of photos - the Houses of Parliament and the National Gallery of Art (not that I had time to go in there - too busy working!)
