Today the children's school is shut because of snow, which apparently is a very rare occurence!  It's interesting to compare what constitutes a snow day here... .

They call it a 'snow dump' and that's exactly what happens - in the space of a few hours, 45cm of snow has fallen.  It is so beautiful, I was up at 5am watching it and it was so still, and quiet and looked amazing.

Here are some pictures of the children having fun in the snow this morning.  We can't go anywhere until someone comes to plough our driveway, but I think the guy that does it will be in high demand today.
