We did so much: organized cell phones, went shopping for some furniture (a bed for us that arrives tomorrow, a suite for the family room and a bed for Nathan that arrives next week and a bed for Brendan that arrives at the end of Feb), went to the bank to meet our manager, collect our cards and cheques, went to Service Canada to get our Social Identity numbers (so they know who to tax!) and went to do the pre-sale check of the house that they do here.

 

Euan, Caraid and Brendan seemed to really like the house – Caraid loves her orange room. Brendan liked the garden but wouldn’t go into the woods because of the moose and bears (and Yeti – we have Euan to thank for that). We also met with the guy from the removal company who will deliver our goods – the ship, the Kobe Express, was due to dock today and we should get our belongings next week.

 

Sorry – no photos tonight, because I’m having trouble uploading any at this time of day. Another busy day tomorrow – more shopping and we see the lawyer to sign for the house (although we got the key today). Tomorrow night will be our first night in our new home. Already everyone has been so friendly and helpful and we have been offered sleeping bags, pots and pans, etc until our belongings reach us.
