Went back to visit the house we liked first thing this morning and then put in an offer which was accepted this afternoon - we are delighted!!!  Let's hope it all works out.  It's not the fanciest house we looked at i.e. no glass stairs or fishpond in the hallway, but it's very homely which is what we wanted.  It's on the lakefront and is very quiet - lots of space, trees, etc.  Inside is lovely with plenty of space for people to come and stay - guest suite in the basement so no problem. 

I'll put a photo up when I'm more convinced the sale is all going through OK. 

Weather is amazing tonight - blizzards and forecast to be -20C tomorrow but have just been out driving with no problems.  There have been lots of gritters on the road since the first flurry of snow and the grit here is more like gravel than grit, but it obviously works.
