Joshua Brooke Rector 1682 – 1721
Joshua Brooke spent many years in Adwick. His many years gave stability in the restoration period after the civil war. Within the Wardens of his duties it would include “ parish relief” and welfare so that the rectory that he built still maintains some of its original as the social services department for the district.
