To stop any future misunderstanding concerning posting on this site the situation is largely the following:
First and foremost there is an appreciation that some are nervous about posting. It is important for them to know that even if they do not follow strict protocol they are encouraged to post.
To change the site fundementally would require a great deal of time expertise and expense(all of which are in short supply)
So we have what we have?
Recent issues have highlighted a problem whereby a particular thread which is of great interest and has the potential for causing Firstport serious problems has had items that some ( I stress some by no means all) contain posts that at first sight to some do not accord with the thread?
That being the case a new subject matter headline is appropriate.
Where a post is related to previous comments than that post should be attached to the previous post.
It has happened unfortunately that some have used individual comments continuing a thread as new headings. this can cause problems.
Can I say to two individuals who are at variance with eachother, that you both have made valuable contributions and are both appreciated for the dedication you have shown to the cause.
This is a sressful time for all. Please do not get distracted from the task ahead!
