Goodbye Chris Owens.

As posted by Jaqueline Henderson, who has been a tireless campaigner in the fight for justice for leaseholders afflicted by Firstport's styule of management, Chris Owens has decided to take early retirement from Firstport, and is hoping to leave in April when a successor has been appointed.

He makes mention of "Health Issues" so clearly it would not be apropriate to comment further on his reasons for leaving.

That said he will be a great loss to Firstport, particularly at such a sensitive time for them as they now struggle to survive now that their previous backers have pulled out.

Chris Owens had a vital role within Firstport. He was tasked with fending off all criticism that might cause harm to Firstport.

He had free licence to operate in any manner of his choosing be it for straightforward denial of any adverse situation, to supporting legal action against residents, even when he would have been fully aware that the resident was perfectly correct and it was Firstport that had behaved in an unlawful manner.

This was especially so, when he harrassed a serving soldier whilst on active service for his country.

Chris Owens was the past master at threatening residents with defemation action should they dare to say anything Chris Owens did not like.

Though he has had several tributes from current and former staff, he was not particularly loyal to Firstport staff.

If it suited Firstport purposes he would hang colleagues out to dry.

So few Firstport staff will truly mourn his departure.

He leaves property management having trashed his personal reputation.

He will always be remembered by residents for his shameless disregard for any vestige of integrity.

Whilst for the sake of common decency About Firstport have to wish him well in his retirement, it is to be hoped that Chris Owens never, ever works in any form of property management again.
