Another Firstport Award?

Firstport have been nominated for an award in the "Best of large managing agent" category at the ARMA awards dinner shortly about to take place.

To be nominated Firsrport were required to demonstrate:

Srategic vision

Focus on client needs

Operational excellence

Representing good value for money

Efficient handling of enquiries

Staff training/development

Doubtless Firstport will be hoping that ARMA judges fail to notice the Firstport debt mountain which forced them to sell house managers flat leaseholds.

They will hope that the ARMA judges will fail to notice that Firstport's owners have put them up for sale.

They will hope that ARMA judges will fail to notice that many of this year's service charge demands were issued late, in the wrong name of the freeholder/landlord and in showing the wrong company number (and thus not being legally payable)

They will hope ARMA judges will fail to notice that such is the chaos in the Firstport administration department that production of residential development accounts have had to be out sourced to Mauritius.

So who could possibly have nominated Firstport a the best large managing agent in the UK?

Why Firstport of course! Who else?

It should not be forgotten either that ARMA is supposed to be a regularity body set up to enforce strict standards to protect leaseholders.

How would ARMA propose to enforce any standards if they believe a company such as Firstport is an appropriate member of ARMA and eligible for an award?
