Miserable New Year In Bridport!
Residents of Peelers Court In Bridport had like many others around the country been looking forward to celebrating the arrival of 2018.
Unfortunately, their development is managed by Firstport Retirement so as is so typical when the lift broke down on 29th December they were advised that "because it was a two man job to repair the lift and they only had a skeleton staff working they would have to wait for the new year for a repair"
So many of the residents spent their new year "celebrations" alone in their flats as they could not manage the stairs. This follows shortly after a lift breakdown at a Firstport Retirement development in Braintree, where residents were trapped for a week as Firstport "sourced parts from abroad"
