Firstport Own Up To Onerous Contracts!
The following statement has been issued by Firstport:
"During the year the group terminated a number of contracts within it's engineering division, which management had identified as "Onerous"
Firstport have been compelled to set aside £481,570 as a provision for liabilities associated with the termination of these onerous contracts.
These contracts are those believed to be between Firstport and Appello (formerly Cirrus) and mainly involve the provision of warden call, entryphone and alarm systems.
The Firstport website actually makes a point that " Firstport will tender for contracts
except for warden call, entryphone and alarm systems in which case we may use a connected company"
