A Response To Toni Donan From About Peverel

In the article concerning Toni Donan we stated our belief (based on evidence provided, which we believed to be compelling) that Toni Donan had been cautioned by Essex Police.

Miss Donan (as can be seen by her post in the comments section of this site) has denied that she was cautioned.

About Peverel is happy to take her denial at face value and accept that she was not cautioned. We therefore apologise to he for any distress that part of the article may have caused.

That said, the version of events put forward by Miss Donan in her defence undermines

her credibility and would tend to the view that to a very large degree she has been foolish at the very least or dishonest at the worst in her conduct.

How could a house manager believe it appropriate to offer a carpet cleaner rental service to residents?

Where would the rental agreement be?

Who could have drawn up such an agreement?

What would have happened if something had happened to the carpet cleaner whilst it was rented out?

Presuming it was insured had it been stolen or damaged would the insurer accept liability for loss or damage after being notified it had been rented out?

Miss Donan states that money from the rental was paid into the service charge trust funds? How?

Where are the supporting invoices?

Miss Donan informs us that she did take the carpet cleaner to clean her new home?

Does Miss Donan really think that it is appropriate to take equipment that belongs to residents (who paid for it and would be responsible for repair or replacement costs)?

If so,we would ask Miss Donan as to how she could possibly have come to the conclusion that it was appropriate?

That she paid into the service charge funds (where is the invoice/receipt?) is no answer.?

It would be of interest to know if Miss Donan, purchased her own carpet cleaning solution or did she "borrow" a bottle from the development?

Miss Donan should  be aware that  if she did "borrow"any cleaning solution even if the value was 25 pence that was  under law theft(which if she does take legal advice will be pointed out to her)

Miss Donan has explained that when the kitchen was re-fitted she herself paid for the washing machine.

Why was it that all other kitchen equipment was included in the cost of the refit but not the washing machine?

And if it was the case that a washing machine was not included in the refit and Miss Donan bought it herself, presumably she can provide a receipt?

And if she bought the washing machine on the basis it was not part of the refit, presumably the cost of plumbing it in would have been paid for by Miss Donan?

After all those costs cannot possibly be the responsibity of residents?

Perhaps Miss Donan(or as she has left the employ of Firstport Claire Dawson will provide copies of the three quotes obtained for the kitchen refit that shows the scope of the works and crucially the equipment included?

At this point About Peverel need to issue a warning to Miss Donan.

Miss Donan, if you have any reason to believe that the quotes for the refit include a washing machine, you must seek urgent legal advice.

When Miss Donan arranged for the washing machine to be taken away, who took it?

Were they qualified to ensure that no leaks were possible from disconnecting the washing machine?

Under normal circumstances, a house manager moving on takes their personal soft furnishing with them.

In all the years About Peverel has been operating this is the first time ever we have come upon a case of a plumbed in washing machine being removed?

Of course Miss Donan will have the opportunity to respond, we hope she does?

At this point About Peverel would like to ask Miss Donan, that whether it be the issues over the carpet cleaner or the washing machine did she at any time make Claire Dawson, the area manager aware of what she was doing?

And if so, was she given permission by Claire Dawson to do this?
