A Cunning Scam, Firstport Caught Out Again!

Not a fortune we know, but when a company is struggling as much as Peverel/Firstport is, a couple of hundred pounds per development helps.

Here is how the scam works. If you have a DVD player in the lounge area of a retirement development, you are required by the Motion Picture Licencing Authority to pay for a licence (typically around £200).

Of course if the DVD player is in an individuals flat no licence is required.

As is expected from Peverel/Firstport, fees for the licence have been deducted, even when no licence is required.

Residents should clarify the position with Peverel/Firstport and demand a refund.
