Firstport have contracted EDF Energy to supply electricity to their developments.
According to Julian Sheppard ( the latest procurement manager for Firstport)
"We have worked in a transparent,fair and intelligent way to strike the best deal for customers. Firstport's commercial status and buying power has resulted in a rise of only 5.6%."
According to EDF, they are "Delighted to have RENEWED the Firstport Group portfolio for a further 12 months"
Since Mr Sheppard has worked in such a" transparent, fair and intelligent way" perhaps he would like to enlighten his customers by telling them which other companies he asked to quote for the contract? How much were the quotes for?
Why did the announcement not simply say the contract with EDF was renewed, rather than implying it was a change of company?
As is allowed for in their management contract, which is worded in order to exploit residents, have Firstport(or any connected company) received any contribution to expenses, rebates or commissions from EDF or any connected company?
What happened to the partnership with SSE?
