The Chris & Keith Road-Show Hits Epsom

About Peverel feel sure that Chris Owens and Keith Shields will receive a very warm welcome when they take their charm offensive to Badgers Court in Epsom.

Keith Shields is new to Peverel/Firstport, so no doubt as he drives up to Epsom from New Milton, Chris Owens will brief him on what questions to avoid answering directly.

Residents should expect comments such as

"This is an historic issue"

"We cannot comment on individual cases"

"We can only discuss issues involving Badger's Court"

"We will get back to you"

What they will not do, which has been demanded for several years, is to finally produce a valid contract from the freeholder appointing Peverel/Firstport to manage the development.

Peverel/Firstport could not even produce such a contract, even as part of a court case, which they subsequently lost.

Residents should be aware, that a contract to manage is crucial.

Without it, Peverel/Firstport cannot legally collect service charges, nor can they persue any action against a resident.

A tactic that has been used at many developments is to "divide and rule".

They set residents against each other, impuning anyone who is actually telling the truth and has stood up against them.

They then put individual residents under great pressure to frighten them off.

At any meeting with Chris Owens and Keith Shields, the residents should all ask one question:

Where is the contract to manage?

Do not accept an answer such as "it's in your lease"

Where is the contract to manage?

They either have it or they don't!

Have you got it Mr Shields?

Have you got it Mr Owens?
