After it was discovered Peverel/Firstport under the veneer of Kingsborough Insurance were charging insurance commissions of 33%, and following a devastating LVT ruling that those commissions were not payable, the former CEO, Janet Entwistle, ordered insurance commissions to be reduced to 15%.
This reduction is mentioned in "notes to the accounts" in very small print on the reverse side of the accounts.
When explaining the accounts to residents, Peverel/Firstport staff have been "encouraged" not to make mention of this, lest residents challenge the charges.
Many that have though, have received refunds equivalent to the difference between the 33% and 15% figure.
All development's should demand a similar rebate. It is residents money. It does not belong to Peverel/Firstport.
