ARMA-Q, A New Beginning?No Chance!

So ARMA-Q, that great charter (even better that Magna Carter!) is now live. It is supposed to instill confidence for long suffering leaseholders that should a firm be accredited to ARMA-Q, they can have confidence that the firm upholds the highest standards. Certainly that is what Michelle Banks CEO of ARMA would like leaseholders to believe.

The reality is somewhat different.

Michelle Banks, has proved rather reluctant to answer questions, that she preferred not to be asked.

Great play is made of the fact that leaeholders are part of the "independent" governance group. So at first sight it may seem good that leaseholders have a part in the governance of ARMA-Q. Read on and you will find that actually what is meant is that some of the governance group members live in a leasehold flat.

Concerns have been raised about the admission of Peverel Group companies.

If Peverel qualify for ARMA-Q, just how crooked does a company have to be, not to qualify? Perhaps if Miss Banks does not wish to answer, than maybe the two very senior figures within ARMA who hold very senior positions within Peverel may care to answer?

Any notion that ARMA would act in the interests of leaseholders, is dispelled by the news of the lecture (at a price of £195+vat) for ARMA members to be given by Justin Bates of Arden Chambers to "Hone the presentation skills of those appearing at the Upper Tribunal"
