Ground Rent Demands. Check Before You Pay!
As the Freeholders who appointed Peverel to collect Ground Rent Charges continue to collapse, be sold or dismiss Peverel, it can well be that Peverel (who are in total chaos) continue to send ground rent demands on behalf of a freeholder that either no longer owns the freehold or has no longer instructed Peverel to collect the ground rents.
Anyone receiving such a demand should check that it is the correct freeholder and that Peverel have been instructed to collect the ground rents.
This is of particular importance as the ownership of the freeholds can change on an almost daily basis. Nothing from Peverel should be taken at face value.
