Most, if not all Peverel Retirement developments are fitted with CCTV. The cameras will either be linked to the development manager's office, or if appropriate the house manager's flat.
Peverel will undertake basic CRB checks on their house managers, but crucially they cannot check any house managers partners, that may live in the house managers flats. Therefore it is quite possible for house managers partners to be living with vulnerable residents whilst having serious criminal convictions.
News has reached About Peverel that a house manager's partner is using Peverel's CCTV to spy on residents, whilst the house manager is off the development.
This is a gross invasion of privacy and residents security.
