Wonga Forced To Repay Customers
Wonga have been forced to repay up to £2.6m to customers.
Those customers that were in arrears were sent letters by debt collection/law firms threatening legal action if payments were not made and they added administration costs. The problem was that the debt collection/law firms did not exist. It was a ruse by Wonga to frighten customers into payng.
Similar tactics have been used by Peverel / Estates & Management, in particular the use of Centurion Collections (a company that does not actually exist)
