The OFT report in to the Cirrus/Peverel price fixing scandal makes mention of a minimum of 65 developments being affected.
Residents have a choice, if they want to know if they were one of the affected developments. They can either simply ask Peverel if their development was part of the price fixing fraud, and if Peverel say "No" just accept Peverel's word on the matter, or they can ask Peverel for all the documentation, including quotes for any work done?
If Peverel hesitate to give any supporting documentation, it is very probable that they are hiding something.
There is a list of developments that Peverel have owned up to as being part of the price fixing scandal, published on the Carlex website. Please take a look to see if your development is contained in the list. If any resident feels that their development has been the subject of price fixing, but is not listed, please contact admin@carlex.org.uk with your details.
Under no circumstances should anyone accept any offer of compensation made by Peverel at present. Those that do will find they will lose a substantial amount of money they are entitled to.
