In a move reported by OMhostage it has been decided by the OFT that they are going to investigate leasehold. The full article can be found on Carlex or LKP.
This is very good news and tribute must be paid to Sebastian O'Kelly and Martin Boyd, (plus others, they know who they are!)
Given the vast databank of evidence of the abuse of leaseholders that has been carefully assembled over the years, it would be improbable that the OFT could find that leasehold is operating in a fair manner.
This will be a long process, but eventually changes will be made. Leasehold has no future. Once leaseholders(commonholders as they will probably become) are given real power and real protection, the ability of venal companies such as Peverel to operate will cease.
