Born in Italy, she and her husband emigrated to London, then briefly lived in Forres and finally settled in Cullen on the shores of the Moray Firth.Their fifth daughter, Filomena (my mum) married my father, James Selbie.This portrait shows my grandmother as a strong, upright and clever woman with a kindly disposition.
My father was awarded the "George Davidson" medal for this portrait.
