The stud is named after Romac 1951 - 1984 (Irex x Yavroum). A beautiful bay straight Arabian stallion...... 100% Crabbet and 100% Old English, bred by Miss M.C.E. Lyon.
Based in Camarthen South Wales, Daphne Cocksedge founded the stud with the Dartmoor pony, Sherberton Gay Star. She was sent to the arab stallion Azan 1950 (Rangoon x Amanda) in 1960.
Romac was not Daphne's first stallion, but certainly her best. His bloodlines live in all but one of her mares ( Bint Arishma). She bought him aged 24 and he lived to the ripe age of 32, when he sadly passed away in 1984.
Today, Daphne has two 100% GSB OE Crabbets at stud.
Crystal Romance 2006 (Ibn Silver x Crystal Treasure). Georgie is a gentle Chestnut who runs with Daphne's mares.
Klinta Sultan 2003 (Shabakka x Star Solitare). Sultan is on loan to Daphne. Sultan covered the lovely Crystal Stardrift 1999 (Astar x Crystal Sunset) and in the spring of 2015, a very striking chestnut to become grey colt, is at foot. His name is Crystal Sultan and will be for sale. (His photo is on the stallions/colts and geldings page). Klinta Sultan was sold to Europe in 2017.
