OH threaten legal action as skulldugerous Brentwood force late draw
24 November 2006
OH threaten legal action as skulldugerous Brentwood force late draw Saturday 18th November Brentwood "II" 4-4 Old Habs (pending top-level FA investigation) (Vellosa 2, Nichols, Reidy) An already dramatic season - littered with high-scoring fixtures, comebacks and fisticuffs - produced further controversy last weekend as a confident OH side travelled to Brentwood to take on one of their main rivals for the league title. The ugly issues surrounding the game have been well documented on various football chat-boards and many leading figures in the game have voiced their opinions, all expressing outrage at Brentwood's antics. Needless to say, the OH management are pursuing the matter and are hopeful that the fixture could be replayed. On the pitch OH continued to demonstrate why, on their day, they are the best team in the division. But again, they only have themselves to blame for not finishing off weaker opposition. Chances were created and not converted, composure was lost and Brentwood were able to pull themselves back into the game through a combination of cheating and cheating. It's probably fair to say that the return fixture will be interesting. But first things first: Eton away. OH have to get back to winning ways immediately if their title chances are to remain alive.
