Olave's Mother's Family
Olave's mother was Katherine Mary nee Hill,
4 December 1851 – 4 February 1932.

Katherine's mother's mother's parents grandfathers were brothers, two of the sons of Elisée Auriol (1635–1693).
Peter Auriol (1693-1754) and Jean Louis Auriol (1684-1750)
Hence the name Auriol -
Katherine wrote a "Life Book" for each of her three children.
These are 11" x 9" x nearly 3" thick, with nearly 400 pages.
The books start with an account of HER life, and hold a lot of photographs, and some very good water-colours done by her.
Olave's has ben scanned.

To Auriol – Arthur - & Olave
There was once a Mother – And she made a book for her children. – And she said to them, “It will help you to think sometimes of one who loved you so dearly. It will help you to remember her whose most earnest wish was to teach you to become, in the highest sense, acceptable to the world - & so “acceptable to God.” – When she has gone away from you, - let her memory come into the sunshine of your lives. – Let it be with you in all your joys. – all your successes – And when pain & sorrow come to you perhaps the remembrance of her will make yours less heavy. Perhaps the consolation of her loving heart will reach you through the darkness, and still smooth the rough places and wipe away the tears – as they did when you were little children.
