Meeting held at Workingmens Club on 4th. august 2015.

 

In the absence of the Chairman the secretary opened the meeting and welcomed everyone in attendance.

Apologies for absence.

There were apologies from The Chairman, Chris Grimstone and also The Gold Cup & The Duke of Wellington.

Minutes of previous AGM   

Were read out, approved and signed by the Vice Chairman.

Matters arising.

There were no matters arising.

Secretary's Report.

Last season got off to a bad start with one team unable to fulfil their fixtures and having to be expelled from the league and another team only able to play Thursdays. However this was sorted out and the second half of the season went OK. The secretary thanked the sponsers, The tickle Toby for accepting the score cards, The Cricket Club, Golden Lion and The Jolly Minister for hosting finals nights. Lastly he thanked the Workingmens Club for hosting the presentation night and AGM. He thanked the committee for all their hard work throughout the season. Next season will start on 10th. September with presentation night on 5th. May 2016. He wished good luck to all teams for next season.

Treasurer's report.

The Treasurer stated that the balance stands at £1031.49 with the registration fees to be added. It was noted that the purchase of trophies had increased as had th cost of printing etc.

The present secretary, Norman Skinner stated it was time for him to retire. He proposed Bob Riggs, a fellow committee member be elected as secretary, this was seconded by Mr. D Hall and agreed.

Tresurer. C. Coughlin.

Committee.     No new members were elected to the committee, the out going secretary agreed to continue as a committee member. 

Any other business.

The outgoing secretary thanked everybody connected with the domino League for the past tweny years. He hope they would give every chance in his first season. 

The members of the committee presented the outgoing secreatry with a desk set in recognition of his 20 years as secretary. The new secretary thanked him and this was greeted with applause from all present.

A member asked it would be possible to receive the AGM minutes as soon as possible and it was agreed to put them onto the website.

The secretary then thanked all the members for attending and closed the meeting at 8.00pm.
