Cultural and Organizational Influences on my enquiries

     In my opinion, the National Education Act 1999 and amendments made in 2002 (Second National Education Act), the Basic Education Curriculum 2001, and The Basic Education Core Curriculum 2008 have the same idea that enhancing capacity of all learners by development in physical strength, basic knowledge and essential skills, attitude towards further education, livelihood and lifelong learning, and morality. It is good for Thai further education because this is policy for all around Thailand. Thai teachers have to change their instruction from teacher-centered to learner-centered approach. That is a big impact to our educational culture. However, in real situation, individual school curricular which are good in philosophy, goals, and principles, and suitable to actual situations and serving their real needs, are not works in practice. I think the teachers do not quite understand what really learner-centered approach is; how to teach with this approach; and how to encourage the students to be learner-center person. That is a huge impact to our children. As the teacher who teaches the future teachers (students who will be teachers) have to lift up our curriculum and instruction approach seriously.
     For my university, we move forward by using slogan “Teach Less Learn More” which is a type of active learning to encourage students instruct their own knowledge. It challenges the teachers to do so. Moreover, my university is locating at three southern border provinces. We regard to multi culture in religion differences. Muslim students are mainly amount while Buddhist students are around 10-20% or less, and a very small group of Christian students. I have to learn their culture carefully. I have to know what they can do and what they cannot do. It also influence on the teachers and instruction management.
