James Knowles married Maria Kitson 1864 -- He was an Alderman and J.P in Sheffield
Fred Kitson Knowles b 1868 -- was a Senior lecturer in Metalurgy at Sheffield University
George Henry Wray Kitson b 1873 -- was a Rugby League player for Halifax RLFC and was Captain when winning the double 1st Division winners and Northern Union Cup in season 1902/03
Latest person born to add to the family was GRACE JOHNSON born 21st December 2014 to Chelsea and Andrew. Mother Chelsea is the grandaughter of Janet Goldthorpe (Kitson) and so she becomes a Great Grandma. Picture below of Grace.
The 1st gathering of the descendents of William Henry Kitson took place on the 18th July at the Highfield Farm on Pinnar Lane in Southowram. Over 50 of the family turned up to enjoy a windy but worthwhile BBQ day. Photo of the whole clan
