What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is the therapeutic use of hypnosis.- a branch of psychotherapy successfully used in dealing with a wide range of problems and illnesses. It helps you to let go of your psychological blocks and enables your natural balance of physical or mental health to return.

Hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation which calms the conscious mind allowing the hypnotherapist to communicate suggestions (always previously agreed with you) to your subconscious. These suggestions are designed to bring about positive change to your mental or physical condition, for example hypnosis for a person with arthritis might include the suggestion that the pain can be turned down like the volume of a radio. Other examples of suggestions are 'I will feel much more positive about myself' or ' I will feel much more confident'.
