Impreza 'Bugeye'

This car was acquired in January, 2009, and is available to compete now. The car was originally built by Prodrive, who ran the Subaru World Rally Team, to be used as a 'Recce' car for 4 times world champion, Tommi Makinen in 2002. The car was then converted into a full spec Group N rally car, and has competed on a handful of events in Ireland on tarmack. Car is however available for gravel or tarmack events.

As you would expect from a professionally built car it has been completed to a very high standard. Car is currently running a 34mm restrictor and so is eligible for Open Class on most events.

Spec includes Hypertech built engine on Autronic engine management tuned for super unleaded, and now running VF34 Turbo. Anti-lag. Five speed gearbox with plated diff. Full weld-in cage in fully seam-welded body shell. Braided brake and fuel lines. Reiger suspension. On board fire system. Prodrive supplementary wiring loom. Sumpguard and full kevlar under body protection. Helmet hammock. Flocked dash. Lightweight Sparco seats and 6 point harnesses.

100% finishing record since we acquired it. Unlike our Classic Impreza this car is left hand drive, as were almost all WRC cars, so this will appeal to the serious driver, perhaps considering a move to left hand drive in the future. The car has successfully complete all 4 events it has entered so far this year.
