Impreza Classic

This car was acquired in January 2008, and has been extensively refurbished over the last 12 months, with most major components being serviced and replaced where required, including a facelift, to reflect the updated Classic Impreza look.

The car was originally built for the Asia Pacific Rally Championship, before coming to the UK in the year 2000. The car is fitted with the more powerful JDM spec engine from a later model, and is fitted with a 34mm restrictor. It runs a GEMs ECU, with antilag, and was mapped by Steve Simpson at TEG Sport. The suspension is Bilstein all alloy coilovers, with seperate oil reservoirs, and has just recently been serviced. Tarmack suspension is also available should the event dictate. For tarmack events the car runs 17 inch rims, and 15 inch rims for all other events.

The car competed on 6 gravel events and 1 single venue tarmack event in 2008, and its only non finish was due to driver error 3 miles from the end of the last stage of an event. Once recovered the car started first time and drove to the end of the stage. In 2009 the car has started 4 events and finished 3, experiencing it's first DNF on the last event, due to a gearbox failure. This item had successfully completed 18 events, so will now be fully rebuilt prior to the car's next outing.
