NEWSLETTER OCTOBER 2011

Dear Member,

It’s hardly stopped raining since we last met, (I said the same in 2010 ) but I’m sure you’re looking forward to Winter, only because it’s PANTO SEASON again. John Nimmo  has the task of preparing show 33.  The show will be on a Gangster type theme with loads of music from that era as well as modern

classic’s. There might be some romance, some violence and lots of drama in the traditional DDP  fashion and of course great music. Apologies to Charlie Dickens !!

As you know St Brides Centre is being re-furbished, so we need to re-locate for rehearsals. The Church Session and Rev. Clelland have granted permission to use the Church and Library for rehearsals up to the end of the year. So we thank them for that.

DATES FOR YOUR DIARIES:

Rehearsals start: in St Brides Church	Sunday 30th October at 6.30pm – 9.00pm
Rehearsals continue until	Sunday 4th December2011
Rehearsals re-commence: in St Brides Church or St Brides Centre (TBC)	Sunday 8th January 2012
Rehearsals in Douglas Primary School	Sunday 15th Jan - 11th March
SHOW	Wednesday 14th – 17th   March  2012

Please take note of these dates.

FIRE IN THE GLEN      

We are not proposing a formal night out due to a very busy October /November. We may have a small informal burning, with Robert’s permission, and a small soiree, probably in the rain, to mark the occasion. Fires will be lit about 7.30pm. BBQ’s available

This will be on Saturday 5^th November at Glentaggart. Make your own arrangements for transport , food and drink !  Any bonfire material? --  contact Derek

Natasha has gone, Jaydene,  Andrew N., Tom  K  and Jodie are taking time out this year  --  we wish them well .We congratulate Seonaid on being a mummy, and Allison on getting engaged.  New boy this year will be Kieran MacLaine .
