With many roads closed by snow, and the Police advising avoidance of certain routes to the venue, it was questionable on the Friday whether or not the show would be able to go ahead on the Sunday.  However, despite the very severe weather conditions, which prevented a number of people from attending, there was still a good turnout of dogs for our breed specialist Judge Liz Cudlip of the Harvidene Bassets & Bloodhounds.  She found her Best in Show in Robert & Georgina Gibson’s home bred Badina Aces High.  Reserve Best in Show and Best Puppy in Show was Yvonne Pearson’s Malrich Katherine At Armardio bred by Malcolm & Debbie Ellrich.  Best Veteran was Sylvia Mitchell’s home bred Rakefoot Milky Way.

In view of the weather it was encouraging to see a number of visitors, who had either recently re-homed a basset or were thinking of getting a puppy, making the effort to attend.
