A good quality entry awaited our Judge Serena Parker of the famous Serenaker Beagles who was giving Challenge Certificates in Basset Hounds for the first time.  She found her Dog CC winner in Newman’s homebred Ch. Woferlow Border Patrol who was also awarded Best Opposite Sex and Best Veteran.  The Res. Dog CC went to the Blevins’ Gambler V Hollandheim At Blevwil bred by Carla Gerber.  The Bitch CC and Best in Show was awarded to Archer’s Ch. Dereheath Groovy Movie At Roamanbay bred by Heather & Derek Storton.  The Judge found her Res. Bitch CC in Armstrong & Rodgers’ Switherland Red Image bred by Phil Freer.  Best Puppy was the Blevins’ homebred Blevwils First And Foremost.  Once again it was pleasing to welcome some new exhibitors as well as people interested in the breed and making enquiries with a view to obtaining a Basset in the future.  The hard working Committee were delighted to learn that their efforts in the smooth running of the show were appreciated by those present.
